winter engagement session

Dylan and Katherine met me on a winter afternoon, when the landscape was quiet and completely blanketed in snow. The air was sharp, our breath visible between laughs, and everything around us felt still and untouched.

They didn’t hesitate for a second.

We ran through open fields, boots crunching beneath us, coats catching the wind. Snow clung to their sleeves and melted into their hair, and instead of worrying about it, they leaned in. They embraced the cold, the movement, the spontaneity of it all.

Photographing them felt effortless. Their connection is playful and easy, the kind where laughter comes naturally and being close doesn’t feel posed or forced. I barely had to guide them. They moved together instinctively, turning a frozen landscape into something warm and alive.

Winter can sometimes feel stark, but with Dylan and Katherine, it felt soft and full of energy. A reminder that the most beautiful sessions aren’t about perfect conditions, they’re about showing up fully, together.
